~National Event Helps Children Envision Limitless Future Opportunities~
Tallahassee - The Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation is hosting nearly 100 children today during the Agency for Workforce Innovation’s 9th Annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. The Agency is a proud supporter of this national program that helps expose children across the country to the many facets of their parents’ and mentors’ daily work lives.
“Through our Agency’s Office of Early Learning, we are dedicated to educating and empowering children to reach their full potential,” said AWI Interim Director Cynthia Lorenzo. "As we celebrate Take our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, we are providing children with the opportunity to learn more about dozens of career possibilities to ignite a passion for their future and for Florida’s future.”
This year’s national theme for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day is Building Partnerships to Educate and Empower. Through the efforts of the program’s foundation, thousands of families, organizations and workplaces have come together to help young people discover the power and possibilities associated with a balanced work and family life.
